Causes of brain deterioration

What are amyloid plaques?

What are neurofibrillary tangles?
Brain cells depend on an internal transport system to carry nutrients and other essential compunds throughout the extensive neural network. This system requires the normal structure protein called tau. In brain deterioration, threads of tau protein twist into abnormal tangles inside brain cells, leading to failure of the transport system and causing death of brain cells.
Brain deterioration may also be attributed to brain fatigue. Recent studies in Japan found that one of the possible root causes of brain deterioration is “Stress-induced Brain Fatigue”.
