Singapore is among one of the developed countries with high incidence of diabetes. In 2015, it was reported that one out of nine people aged 18 to 69 in Singapore has diabetes. Those with diabetic concerns should exercise caution when consuming fruits:


·         Avoid sweetened dried Fruit or fruit juices such as water melon or sugar cane.


·         Eat small portion of sweet fresh fruit each time


·         Enjoy fruit together with nuts or yoghurt


·         Low GI fruits such as berries, apple and citrus fruits can be consumed more often
