Gently massage a small amount onto clean, affected area, up to three times daily. Do not use on face.
Step 1: Ensure the right dosage required
The first time you use FlexC CARE EX serum, estimate the amount of serum you need to squeeze out of the bottle:
1. For a knee, shoulder or hip, squeeze a line as long as your index finger.
2. For an ankle, wrist or the fingers on one hand, squeeze a line as long as half of your index finger.
Evenly cover the soft tissue at the front and the back of the joint (do not apply to the knee cap)
It is important use the appropriate dose for the specific joint you are treating.
• You must allow the FlexC CARE EX serum to dry for at least 10 minutes, or until the skin is touch dry before covering the area.
• If the serum takes longer than 10 minutes to dry, you have probably applied too much. The excess can be wiped off and you should try using a smaller amount next time.
• If the serum takes less than 10 minutes to dry, you should apply slightly more the next time.
Step 2: Reduce the application time
Once you have worked out the right amount of FlexC CARE EX serum required for your specific joints, you can reduce the serum drying time by:
• Warming the skin before applying the serum
• After applying the serum, use a hairdryer on a medium setting to blow dry. This should reduce the drying time to about 2 minutes
For those who exercise: Apply a thin layer of serum to thigh and calf before exercise. Apply again after exercise. The aroma of fresh mint makes you feel more comfortable and soothing after exercise.

1) Support healthy inflammatory response
Swollen joint is one clinical feature of osteoarthritis (OA), attributed to local inflammation and thickening of synovium.
A membrane called the synovium produces a thick fluid that helps keep the cartilage healthy. The synovium can become inflamed and thickened when there is wear-and-tear on the cartilage. Inflammation causes more fluid to be produced within the joint, resulting in swelling and possibly the development of OA.
In this test, Bioactive Peptides were shown to suppress LPS-induced inflammatory response, as indicated by a reduced level of nitric oxide concentration (an inflammatory marker).
2) Promote production of extracellular matrix (ECM) for repair and regeneration

a) Procollagen:

b) Type I collagen:

c) Type II collagen:
Type II collagen is a major protein in joint cartilage, the smooth, white connective tissue that covers the ends of bones as they come together to form a joint. It is believed to contribute most to tensile behaviour of the cartilage tissue.

d) Fibronectin:
Fibronectin production appears to be an important part of cartilage, tendon, ligament and muscle healing process. In this test, Bioactive Peptides were shown to increase synthesis of fibronectin by human fibroblast.
e) Extracellular matrix (ECM):
In this clinical trial, healthy human volunteers were treated with 50ppm of Bioactive Peptides for 60 days on their buttock skin. Biopsies were taken for immunohistochemical assessment of procollagen I, hyaluronic acid and fibronectin. After 60 days, tissue staining showed a significant increase in the amount of subcutaneous collagen, hyaluronic acid and fibronectin.
