Q: Why is Bioactive Silica superior to other silica supplements?

A: Each softgel of Bioactive Silica provides 42mg of silicon from Silica-Rx99, a dosage that has been clinically proven to deliver an average increase of 13% bone density in all studied participants in just 6 months, including postmenopausal women. It is the first silica supplement that is research proven to increase bone density of postmenopausal women, which is unachievable by any bone supplements in the market so far. In addition, another study also showed that more than 40mg of silicon improved bone density more effectively compared to a lower dosage. Besides bone health, silica also plays an important role in supporting healthy cardiovascular system, digestive system and brain, as well as beautifying skin, hair and nails.

It is important to note that amount of silica is not equivalent to amount of silicon. Silica (SiO2) contains not only silicon (Si), but also oxygen (O). Most silicon supplements such as those from horsetail extract and bamboo only reveal the silica amount but not silicon. The dosage of silicon and efficacy are thus questionable. Besides, a study reported that horsetail extract has only 4 to 5% absorption rate. Consumption of horsetail extract may lead to thiamine (vitamin B1) deficiency due to the presence of a chemical called thiaminase which breaks down thiamine. It is important to note that horsetail extract is unsafe for individuals with blood clotting issues or  are taking medications for heart. Other silicon supplements such as orthosilicic acid, provides around 5mg of silicon, a dosage that is much lower than the functional dosage (≥40mg) needed to support bone health.

As far as we know, Bioactive Silica is the only silica supplement that provides the highest functional dosage of silicon in the market. Combined with superior absorption by the body, Bioactive Silica is more effective than other silica supplements in replenishing your body’s silica levels. Besides Silica-Rx99, Bioactive Silica is also fortified with functional dosage Vitamin K2 (MK-7) and Vitamin D3, which work synergistically with silica to support overall body wellness, including bone, cardiovascular, skin, hair and nails.

Q: Are silica, silicon and silicone the same?

A: No, they are different. Silicon is an essential trace element that plays an important role in connective tissue, especially in the bone. Silicon is rarely found in nature in its pure form. It usually combines with oxygen to form silica, which is also known as silicon dioxide. Everyone is born with 7g of silica throughout our body. Silica level decreases by 1% yearly with tremendous decline occurring from the 20s onwards, resulting in reduced bone mineralisation and collagen production.  For optimal bone health, you need to consume silica which can provide more than 40mg silicon (not silica) daily.

While silicon is a naturally occurring element in the human body, silicone is synthetic material resembling plastic. It contains silicon, oxygen and other chemicals and is the substance that is widely used to make breast transplants.

Q: Can I obtain silica from food?

A: Yes, whole grains, cereal products and root vegetables are food sources of silica. However, only a small amount of silica can be absorbed from food during digestion (approximately 2-3% are absorbed by adults). For example, you would have to eat 50 bananas to obtain just 8 mg of absorbed silica. As the level of silica in our bodies decreases significantly with age (which can lead to conditions such as osteoporosis, hair loss, brittle nails and digestive problems),  supplemental source of silica is highly recommended. Bioactive Silica is a rich source of highly absorbable silica, each serving provides 91.5mg silica (42mg of elemental silicon) and fortified with vitamin K2 (MK-7), vitamin D3 and coconut origin MCT oil. The synergistic effects of multiple potent ingredients in this unprecedented formula help support bone density, elasticity and strength and benefit joints, muscles, blood vessels, digestive tract and brain. They are also effective in helping to  beautify skin, hair and nails.

Q: Can Bioactive Silica really increase bone density? Is this efficacy research proven?

A: Yes, it is research proven. In this research, 9 subjects aged between 45 and 82 years old (including postmenopausal women) were orally administered 100 mg to 120 mg of Silica-Rx99 (≥ 40mg silicon) and all of them observed an increase in bone density, with an average increase of 13% in just 6 months. This revolutionary finding has been published on medical journal as well as newspaper in Japan.

Q: How does Bioactive Silica improve bone health?

A: Bioactive Silica consists of multiple potent ingredients – Silica-Rx99, Vitamin D3 and Vitamin K2, which work synergistically to improve bone health.

Silica-Rx99 improves bone density, elasticity and strength via the following means:

i) Stimulates new bone formation and reduces bone breakdown by activating bone-forming osteoblasts and suppressing bone-resorbing osteoclasts

ii) Boosts collagen synthesis at the root, which builds a framework for calcium to attach to, thereby increasing bone density. Without sufficient collagen, bone density cannot be improved as calcium has no support to attach itself to.

iii) Silica stabilises the collagen by cross-linking collagen fibres. This provides elasticity and strength to the bones, making them strong and “bend-not-break”.

Vitamin K2 (MK-7) and Vitamin D3 play a crucial role to ensure calcium is deposited at the right place – the bone.

  • Vitamin D3 helps increase dietary calcium absorption from the intestines into the bloodstream
  • Vitamin K2 helps transfer calcium from the bloodstream into the bones and prevents calcium deposition in the arteries and kidneys, which would otherwise increase the risks of heart attack and kidney stones. In the bones, calcium will attach to the collagen, which is produced by silica.

Q: At what age should I start taking Bioactive Silica?

A: Bioactive Silica is highly recommended for adults age 20s onwards. As as bone and collagen booster, it is indispensable for bone health, beauty and overall wellness. Strengthening bones in 20s is the key to build strong bones for life and offset the risks of developing osteoporosis later on. Moreover, silica is essential for optimal production of collagen, the most abundant protein in the body. Collagen forms a scaffold to provide strength and structure and it is present throughout the body, including bones, muscles, skin, blood vessel and intestinal walls. Poor nutrients in modern diet has accelerated the ageing process, leading to faster deterioration of collagen than ever. Replenishment of silica at an early age is crucial to preserve beauty, youth and optimal health throughout the ages.

Q: Should I complement Bioactive Silica with calcium supplements for bone health?

A: It is not necessary. Bioactive Silica is proven to increase bone density and strength. In a study, all middle-aged and elderly participants including post-menopausal women showed an average 13% increase in bone density in just 6 months. Besides the older group, case studies showed that Bioactive Silica also improved the bone density and strength of younger adults in their 20s-30s.

Although complementation of Bioactive Silica with calcium is not necessary, intake of sufficient calcium daily is vital for overall wellness. Sufficient calcium can be obtained from a well-balanced diet, which includes calcium-rich foods such as collard greens, canned sardines with bones, milk, yogurt, soy beans etc. Getting calcium from food is better than obtaining it from supplements. If you are taking calcium supplements, please take Bioactive Silica and calcium supplements at different time of the day. This is because calcium and silica would compete for the same absorption pathway. This would reduce absorption and bioavailability of both supplements.

Q: I am taking 1,000 mg calcium supplement daily. Do I still need Bioactive Silica for bone health?

A: Yes. Research has shown that increasing calcium intake has only a modest effect on bone density and does not reduce fractures in people above 50. On the other hand, Bioactive Silica is proven to increase bone density of all, including post-menopausal women. A study showed that Silica-Rx99 in Bioactive Silica increased bone density of all participants by 13% in just 3 months. In addition to bone density, Bioactive Silica also improves bone elasticity and strength.

Nonetheless, calcium is required not just for bones, but also other functions, including muscle contraction, blood clotting, hormone secretion and many others. Calcium from food sources is better than calcium supplements. An intake of 1,000 mg of calcium from supplements may be associated with increased risks of heart attack, stroke, kidney stones and gastrointestinal symptoms. As defined by EFSA in the “Scientific Opinion on Dietary Reference Values for calcium” published in May 2015, hypercalcaemia (excess calcium in the blood) is unlikely to occur with high intake of calcium from the diet but is possible with by high-dose calcium supplements.

Q: There are wide varieties of silicon supplements that come with different silica/silicon dosage. What is the optimal dosage?

A: There is no recommended dietary allowance (RDA) for silicon; up to 700 mg can be taken without apparent harm (Medscape). Based on research findings, more than 40mg silicon daily would be considered as the optimal dosage for bone health.

Q: I am taking medications for osteoporosis, can I take Bioactive Silica as well?

A: Yes, you can. Medications for Osteoporosis such as bisphosphonates slows bone breakdown, allowing new bone formation to catch up with bone loss so as to help maintain bone density. Bioactive Silica is far more effective. It helps increase bone density and improve bone elasticity. When used as a standalone supplement, Bioactive Silica works effectively to increase bone strength. Nonetheless, it can also be used to complement medications for osteoporosis to support optimal bone health. Please take Bioactive Silica and medications at least 2 hours apart to optimise its efficacy.

Q: Do calcium and vitamin D supplements reduce the risk of fractures in postmenopausal women?

A: Surprisingly no. Calcium and vitamin D supplements do not prevent fractures. According to 2006 report from the Women's Health Initiative, 18,000 postmenopausal women who took a supplement containing 1,000 mg of calcium and 400 international units (IU) of vitamin D were no less likely to break their hips than an equal number of participants who took a placebo pill, although the density of their hip bones increased slightly. Even that small change might have been due to the vitamin D rather than the calcium. Furthermore, a 2007 report by Swiss and American scientists who conducted an analysis of numerous studies on calcium concluded that high calcium intake from either food or pills does not reduce hip fracture risk.

Q: Is Bioactive Silica suitable for vegetarians?

A: Yes, it is. All the ingredients in Bioactive Silica are plant-based and suitable for vegetarians. While the body produces collagen naturally, collagen production decreases as you age. Silica provides a very good boost to the production of collagen in the body at the root. Since collagens are from animal sources, Bioactive Silica vegetarian-friendly formula provides the best alternative collagen for vegetarians.

Q: Can Bioactive Silica be consumed for long term?

A: Yes. Bioactive Silica is highly recommended for long-term consumption for bone health, glowing skin, hair and overall wellness. Known as bone and collagen booster, silica levels decrease continuously with age, with tremendous decline occurring from 20s onwards, resulting in weaker bones, loss of muscle tones, joint discomforts, wrinkles, thinning hair and brittle nails. Hence, continuous replenishment of silica with Bioactive Silica is the secret to good health and beauty throughout the ages.

Q: Are there any known side effects of consuming Bioactive Silica?

A: There are no known side effects associated with daily consumption of Bioactive Silica, if taken as recommended. You are advised to consult your physician before taking any dietary supplement if you have or have had any health condition. Discontinue use and seek advice from your physician of any adverse reactions such as allergic reaction. Please note that dietary supplement is not a substitute for a healthy diet and lifestyle.

Q: Does Bioactive Silica require a prescription?

A: No prescription is required as Bioactive Silica is a natural supplement and not a medicine.

Q: Can I take Bioactive Silica while I am on medications?

A: Yes, you can. Please space a 2-hour gap between Bioactive Silica and medicines to ensure that the efficacy of Bioactive Silica is not compromised.

Q: Is Bioactive Silica safe for use during pregnancy and nursing?

A. Bioactive Silica has not been studied for use during pregnancy and nursing. If you are pregnant or nursing, we strongly encourage you to consult your physician before taking any supplements.

Bone health

a) Support healthy bone mineral density

Study 1: Silica supplementation in ovariectomised rats (animal model of postmenopausal osteoporosis) reduced bone resorption (bone breakdown) and increased bone formation (Calcif Tissue Int. 1993 Sep;53(3):174-9). A high concentration of silica was found in the areas of active bone mineralisation, where silica has combined with calcium in the bone-building cell.

Study 2: In a well-known massive-scale Framingham Offspring Study, the dietary habits of 2,847 participants (1,251 men & 1,596 pre- and postmenopausal women) aged between the ages 30 and 87 were studied since 1970, their bone density was also measured. The results showed the group which consumed more than 40mg of silicon per day had approximately 10% more bone density compared to the group which consumed less than 14mg of silicon daily. Hence, adequate silicon intake correlated positively with bone density in men and premenopausal women, but not in postmenopausal women. This study also suggested that the amount of dietary silica intake imposes a greater impact on bone density than the disparity in the amount of dietary calcium.

Important notes!

Regular silica does not improve bone density of postmenopausal women, but possible with Silica-Rx99! Oral administration of Silica-Rx99 was proven to increase bone density, even in those of postmenopausal women. The efficacy of Silica-Rx99 is far superior to regular silica.

Study 3: 8 women aged between 45 and 82 years old and one man aged 58 years old were administered Silica-Rx99 (≥ 40mg silicon) daily for 6 months and their bone density were monitored. Amazingly, all 9 participants showed an increase in bone density (100% efficacy). On average, the bone density increased 13%, including those of postmenopausal women. Notably, Silica-Rx99 worked 4 to 6 times faster than a specific calcium supplement for all 9 participants. In this test, one participant who suffered from osteoporosis was experiencing decreasing bone density despite being prescribed drugs for osteoporosis. The test results indicated an unexpected increase in bone density after intake Silica-Rx99 for 6 months. Besides Silica-Rx99, no other silica products is capable of delivering such dramatic improvement in bone density within such short period of time yet. These significant findings have been published in Nippon Dental Newspaper and Medical Magazine Apolonia.

Study 4: Vitamin K2 suppresses the synthesis of prostaglandin E2 (PGE-2), a potent stimulator of bone resorption (bone broken down by the body). In this study, TNFα pro-inflammatory cytokine was used to induce PGE-2 production. The co-administration of Vitamin K2 (MK-7) and TNFα was effective in suppressing the PGE-2 production to a level comparable to baseline (control).

b) Support bone elasticity (flexibility)

Animal studies in the 1970’s reported that deficiency of dietary silicon resulted in decreased bone tensile strength (Nature. 1972 Oct 6;239(5371):333-4; Science. 1972 Nov 10;178(4061):619-21). Another study showed that silica-deficient chicks were found to contain less collagen in their bones than those of silica-supplemented chicks (Calcif Tissue Int. 1981;33(1):27-34).

c) Support strong bone

Study 1: A study conducted on elderly women reported that non-osteoporotic women have particularly high vitamin K2 (MK-7). This suggests the association between high MK-7 and strong bones.

Study 2: A study showed that vitamin K2 (MK-7) is more effective than vitamin K1 in increasing activity of osteocalcin, a vitamin K-dependent calcium-binding protein in bone that has been linked to bone formation.

Study 3: In a double-blind, randomised clinical trial, 244 healthy postmenopausal women (55 to 65 years old) were orally administered 180 µg vitamin K2 (MK-7) daily for 3 years. The results showed that vitamin K2 (MK-7) significantly improved bone strength and protected the vertebrae and the hip against osteoporosis and bone fracture (Vermeer C. et al. 2012. VitaFoods).

d) Reduce risk of bone fracture

A meta-analysis concluded that vitamin K2 plays a vital role in the maintenance and improvement of bone mineral density and the prevention of fractures in postmenopausal women with osteoporosis (Osteoporos Int. 2015. 26(3): 1175-1186). High vitamin K2 has been associated with reduced vertebral (spinal) fractures by 60%, hip fractures by 77% and all non-vertebral fractures by 81% (Arch Intern Med. 2006. 166(12): 1256-1261).

Joint & muscle health

a) Relieve joint discomforts & inflammation

A study showed that administration of silica-containing supplement to patients with mild to moderate knee osteoarthritis provided relief for osteoarthritis symptoms and improved joint function within one to two weeks of treatment (J Inflamm (Lond). 2005. 2: 11). Besides, silica supplementation also helped enhance rate and quality of recovery from tendon and ligament damage (Front Aging Neurosci. 2016. 8: 202).

Cardiovascular health

a) Support healthy blood pressure:

Study 1: In an animal test, spontaneously hypertensive subjects were orally administered silica for 8 weeks and they showed significantly lower systolic blood pressure compared to animals administered with a control diet (Nutr Res. 2011. 31(2): 147-156).

Study 2: In an in vitro study, silica increased magnesium uptake by aortic smooth muscle cells by 177%, compared to cell culture without addition of silica (Nutr Res. 2011. 31(2): 147-156). Magnesium uptake helps relax the smooth muscles in blood vessels, allowing them to dilate and accommodate efficient blood flow.

Study 3: A study found that people taking 368mg magnesium supplements daily for 3 months helped lower both systolic and diastolic blood pressure (Hypertension. 2016. 68: 324-333).

b) Support healthy inflammatory response:

Silica suppressed production of aortic cells’ angiotension (a hormone that increases blood pressure) and growth factors related to inflammation, which could negatively affect blood vessel walls and impedes blood flow. Silica also stimulates the production of PPAR-ɣ, which has anti-inflammatory and blood pressure-lowering effects (Nutr Res. 2011. 31(2): 147-156).

c) Support healthy blood lipids

Studies suggested that silica regulates blood lipids and reduces the risk of arterial plaque (Life Sci. 1988. 42(21): 2105-2112), as well as decreases the likelihood of thickening, stiffening and narrowing of blood vessels (Med Hypotheses. 1997. 49(2): 175-176).

d) Reduce arterial calcification

Low dietary vitamin K can lead to uncontrolled mineralisation of calcium in arterial walls (arterial calcification), which has been shown to contribute to cardiovascular diseases (CVDs).

Study 1: A 10-year population-based study that included 4807 men and women aged 55 or older showed that >32 µg vitamin K2 intake per day was associated with ~50% reduction of aorta (largest artery) calcification, ~50% reduction of cardiovascular mortality (death) and ~25% reduction of all-cause mortality (death), compared to <21µg/day of vitamin K2 intake. This study suggests that dietary vitamin K2 has a protective effect against coronary heart disease (CHD) in older men and women.

Study 2: A study of 564 healthy Dutch postmenopausal women who participated in the Predictors of Response to Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy study (PROSPECT) showed that higher dietary intake of vitamin K2 (but not K1) was associated with a reduced risk of coronary artery calcification (Atherosclerosis. 2009. 203:489–493), which is the build-up of calcium in the arteries, causing blood vessels to narrow and leading to the development of heart disease.

e) Protect against cardiovascular ageing

In a double-blind, randomised clinical trial, 244 healthy postmenopausal women (aged 55 to 65) was orally administered 180 µg vitamin K2 (MK-7) daily for 3 years. Compared to placebo, MK-7 supplementation significantly prevented age-related stiffening of arteries (which is often due to arterial calcification) as evaluated by pulse wave velocity (PWV), suggesting that MK-7 could protect against age-related cardiovascular deterioration (Vermeer C. et al. 2012. VitaFoods).

f) Reduce risk of cardiovascular diseases (CVDs)

Study 1: This study involved 16,057 perimenopausal and postmenopausal women (49 to 70 years old) who are free of cardiovascular disease at the baseline. This studied population had an average intake of 211.7 µg vitamin K1 and 29.1 µg vitamin K2 per day, respectively. The 10-year follow-up study showed a 9% drop in the risk of developing coronary heart disease per each 10 µg of vitamin K2 intake, particularly menaquinone‑7 (MK-7). On the other hand, the dietary intake of vitamin K1 was not significantly associated with a reduced risk of cardiovascular disease (Nutr Metab Cardiovasc Dis. 2009. 19 (7): 504-510).

Digestive health

a) Help manage digestive problems

In a clinical trial, silica supplementation for 6 weeks resulted in decreased total upper and lower abdominal symptoms or discomforts, which included reflux, dysmotility (gut does not work properly at moving its contents), diarrhoea, constipation and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) (Gastroenterol Res Pract. 2012. 2012: 750750). Furthermore, decrease in the duration of diarrhea, abdominal pain, distension, nausea and vomiting had been reported in other studies.

Detoxification

a) Reduce aluminium levels in the body

A study conducted on a population of 65 years or older, which was followed for 15 years, showed that cognitive decline was greater in subjects with higher daily intake of aluminium from drinking water. On the contrary, an increase of 10mg/day in silica intake was linked to a reduced risk of dementia (Am J Epidemiol. 2009. 169(4): 489-496).

Brain Health

a) Reduce risk of dementia

A study found that women who developed Alzheimer’s disease had lower intake of silica. It can be concluded that intake of silica may have reduced the risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease in elderly women (Am J Clin Nutr. 2005. 81(4): 897-902).

Skin health

a) Support skin healthy & protect against UV-induced skin damage

A clinical trial showed that oral and topical use of silica resulted in significant improvements in skin elasticity, texture and hydration, as well as reduced signs of photoageing (premature ageing of the skin caused by repeated exposure to UV) (An Bras Dermatol. 2016. 91(3): 331–335). Another study reported improvements in skin moisture retention and skin smoothness after treatment with a supplement containing silica for 180 days (J Clin Aesthet Dermatol. 2012. 5(11): 28–34). Furthermore, a study conducted on women with sun-damaged skin showed that those who take 10mg silica daily for 20 weeks observed reduced wrinkles and decreased skin roughness (Arch Dermatol Res. 2005. 297(4): 147-153).

Hair health

a) Promote hair growth and support shiny hair

In a randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled study, healthy women (21 to 75 years old) with thinning hair were orally administered a supplement containing silica or placebo daily for 180 days. The silica-treated group showed an increase in the number of terminal vellus hair at 90th and 180th day after treatment; while placebo-treated group showed a decrease. In addition, significantly more silica-treated subjects noticed improvements in overall hair volume, scalp coverage and thickness of hair after 90 days and improvement in hair shine after 180 days.

Silica promoted hair growth

Case study 1: A visible increase in hair growth after consuming silica supplement for 90 and 180 days

Case study 2: A visible increase in hair growth after consuming silica supplement for 90 and 180 days

b) Support strong hair

In a randomised, double-blind and placebo-controlled study, 48 volunteers with thin hair were orally administered with 10 mg of silicon or placebo daily for a period of 9 months. Those administered with silicon showed a positive effect on hair tensile strength, including hair elasticity and strand resistance to breaking, as well as an increased area of the strand front section (cross sectional area), resulting in thicker hair (Arch Dermatol Res. 2007. 299: 499-505).

Nail health

a) Support healthy and strong nails

Study 1: A study showed that 10mg of silica daily for 20 weeks resulted in stronger and less brittle hair and nails (Arch Dermatol Res. 2005. 297(4): 147-153).

Study 2: A case study showed that supplementation of Silica-Rx99 significantly improved nail quality after 6 months of intake.

JUST CALCIUM ALONE CANNOT BUILD BONES

Why?
1. The bone structure consists of more than just calcium, it is made up of collagen, calcium phosphate and bone cells (osteoclast – breaks down old bone tissues and osteoblast – synthesise new bone tissues).
2. Calcium is hard like chalk whereas collagen is bendable. These two components are essential to keep bones hard and bendable but not break; and strong enough to absorb shocks and resist fractures. Without collagen, even the hardest bones can crack, shatter or break, and running, jumping and other activities could be painful.
3. Collagen is likened to the ‘steel frame’ on which calcium and other bone minerals are attached to, to form mineralised collagen fibrils. Although collagen only makes up 30% of bones, it is believed that collagen contributes to as much as 80% of the bone’s total strength.

Osteoporosis & weak bones are due to collagen deficiency, NOT calcium!

Did you know? Collagen levels decline from age 25 onwards will lead to the onset of wrinkles, sagging skin, stiff joints, muscle pain, leaky gut and other health issues. Increasing the collagen levels in one’s body is imperative to maintain strong, healthy bones, good skin and overall wellness.

Today, we bring you a revolutionary collagen boosting compound that improves collagen levels at the root and effectively improves bone density, even among menopausal women!

WHAT IS SILICA AND WHY IT IS ESSENTIAL?

Silica is a multifunctional trace element in the body, required for the production of structural materials in the body which includes skeleton, connective tissues, blood vessel wall, etc.

Silica Helps:

STIMULATE bone collagen synthesis and stabilisation, which is crucial for increasing bone mineral density, flexibility and strength:

  • Collagen provides framework for calcium attachment

ACTIVATE osteoblast (bone cells) to generate new cells for bone mineralistation.

SUPPRESS bone resorbing osteoclast (bone cells that breaks down old cells)

Silica is an essential component for bones to remain strong, dense and exible. By increasing collagen production in the body, it also helps restore and strengthen cartilage, tendons, ligaments, joints, muscle, teeth, blood vessel, intestines, etc, as well as promotes healthy skin, hair and nails.

Health Issues Arising from Silica Deficiency

Bone – Low bone density and flexibility; brittle and prone to breaking
Joints & muscles – Cartilage loss, stiff joints and muscle pain

Gastrointestinal - Poor digestion, abdominal discomfort, leaky gut

Dental - Brittle teeth, weakened gums, cavities
Cardiovascular - Accelerated plaque build-up on the arteries, increased
risk of cardiovascular disease

Skin - Reduced skin elasticity, premature wrinkles, thinner or sagging skin
Hair - Slow hair growth, hair loss, dull and brittle hair
Nails - Brittle nails, longitudinal ridges on the nails
Others - Slow wound healing, poor immune system and muscle tone

100% NATURAL INGREDIENTS

Silica-Rx99 is especially beneficial to those with high risk of osteoporosis, menopausal women (prone to bone loss) and even young adults.

Only bioactive Silica CAN increase the bone density of post-menopausal women, other 40mg silicon supplements cannot achieve this!

Extracted from natto (fermented soybean) without chemical solvents, natural vitamin K2 (MK-7) helps bone stimulate bone cells for bone formation and suppress bone breakdown.

• Builds and maintains bones
• Regulates calcium deposit – hardens bones and prevents deposit in blood vessels and kidneys
• Slows age-related bone loss
• Lowers risks of fractures and cardiovascular diseases
• Promotes good oral health

Vegan fat-soluble vitamin D3 extracted from lichen (Cladonia rangiferina).

• Promotes calcium absorption for bone mineralisation
• Supports bone health and healthy immune function
• Lowers gum inflammation; promotes oral health

MCT Oil consists of MCTs (medium-chain triglycerides) which are
rapidly broken down, absorbed and transported within the body to provide a
quick energy source and less likely stored as fat.
• Boosts absorption and bioavailability of Vitamins K2 and D3

BIOACTIVE SILICA IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR:

Osteoporosis literally means porous bone, a progressive condition in which the bone rebuilding is slower than bone loss as a result of age-related deterioration. Bone density and strength decrease and the risk of bone fracture increases. Menopausal women are susceptible as they can lose up to 20% of bone density in the first 5 to 7 years after menopause due to drastic decline of estrogen levels contributing to bone loss.

Supports healthy bone mineral density

Promotes bone formation (Bone. 2003 Feb;32(2):127-35)
Increases bone mineralisation (calcium incorporation into bone), particularly when calcium intake is low (Calcif Tissue Int. 1993 Sep;53(3):174-9)
Reduces bone resorption (loss of calcium from bone) (Calcif Tissue Int. 1993 Sep;53(3):174-9)

Supports bone flexibility

Stimulates type I collagen production – Collagen is vital for maintaining the integrity, elasticity and strength of body tissues. Essential for building strong bones, tendons, ligaments, skin, hair and nails.
Strengthens collagen by cross-linking collagen strands - Strong cross-linked collagen strands increases bone strength and flexibility.

Silicon crosslinks collagen strands & strengthens collagen

Reduces risk of bone fractures

By initiating the bone mineralisation process and maintaining collagen cross-links in the bone, silica supports healthy bone density and elasticity to help maintain strong bones and lower the risks of fractures.

Ageing contributes to the decline of collagen which is vital for healthy joints, muscles, tendons and ligaments. By helping to boost collagen production in the body, Bioactive Silica helps to maintain joint and muscle health.

• Relieves joint discomforts & inflammation
• Lubricates joint tissues – protects against cartilage and joint deterioration
• Supports joint flexibility & rejuvenates muscles

 Promotes fast muscle recovery

Our body losses 1% of collagen yearly after the age of 21, resulting in reduced skin thickness and elasticity. The first signs of low collagen levels include fine lines and dull or sagging skin. Bioactive Silica stimulates optimal collagen synthesis and cross-linking of collagen strands to help improve skin and combat the signs of ageing.

• Promotes smooth, firm and hydrated skin with elasticity
• Protects against UV-induced skin damage - premature skin ageing, wrinkles and rough skin

Silicon is one of the essential trace elements for hair growth, imperative for forming blood capillaries to supply nutrients and oxygen for healthy growth.

• Promotes hair growth, reduces hair loss
• Supports strong and shiny hair

Visible Increase In Hair Growth

Silica deficiency may result in soft, brittle nail and ridges (vertical lines) in finger nails. Silica feeds the nail bed with vital nutrients to support healthy nails and protect against nail infections.

• Supports healthy and strong nails
• Improve nail quality (brittleness, ridges)

Silica is present in the walls of blood vessels, helping to keep them elastic, regulate permeability, accelerate renewal and healing. The addition of Vitamin K2 in Bioactive Silica helps to reduce calcium build-up in blood vessels and keeps them elastic.

• Supports healthy blood pressure
• Supports healthy inflammatory response and blood lipids – Chronic inflammation can contribute to the build-up of fatty deposits (plaques) in the inner walls of arteries

• Reduces risk of calcium build-up and stiffening of arteries

Lowers the risks of cardiovascular diseases (CVDs)

Silica helps strengthen the connective tissues of the brain, nerve cells and spinal cord which are vital for optimal brain function. Research showed increased silica intake improves nerves synapse function, crucial for the transmission of nerve impulses.

• Supports healthy cognitive function - improves and protects against memory loss
• Lowers the risks of dementia
• Supports healthy nervous system

Bioactive Silica detoxifies body by bonding itself to toxic metals and removing them through urine and other means. Metal such as aluminium increases the risk of cognitive decline.

• Reduces aluminium levels in the brain

Research showed collagen helps in the repair of gastrointestinal lining (Gastroenterology. 1987.92(2): 400-405), since Silica is an essential component of collagen synthesis, it is essential for maintaining a healthy digestive system.

• Supports healthy bowel movement – Relieves constipation and/or diarrhoea
• Helps manage digestive problems - abdominal pain, flatulence, nausea, etc.
• Maintains and restored healthy digestive tract

• Protects against bleeding gums and gum recession (wearing off of gum surrounding the tooth and exposing tooth’s root)

Aluminium in the body may disrupt the functioning of pineal gland which secretes melatonin , a hormone that regulates the body clock and sleep patterns. Sillica helps remove stored aluminium to support quality sleep.

• Supports optimal functioning of the pineal gland to promote restful sleep

ALSO PERFECT FOR VEGETARIANS AND THOSE ON KETOGENIC DIET

As collagen is derived only from meat sources, vegetarians’ diet would be lacking in collagen which are very essential the entire body. Bioactive Silica is the perfect alternative to fill the gap for your body’s collagen need.

People on a ketogenic diet have a higher risk of silica, calcium and vitamin deficiency as their diet limits intake of whole grain, cereal products and root vegetables (which contain higher amounts of silica), milk (calcium) and orange juice (vitamin D). Calcium is not only vital for bone health, but it also supports muscle and nerve communication.

• Replenishes silica and vitamin D which are commonly deficient in keto diet
• Promotes calcium absorption into bloodstream
• Stimulates bone formation and increases bone density
